Chai Dandy Tea with Ginger
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dandelion root tea (brewed from roasted dandelion root)
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced or grated
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions:
- Brew the dandelion root tea by steeping 1-2 tsp of roasted dandelion root in 1 cup of boiling water for 5-7 minutes. Strain and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the spices, fresh ginger, and milk. Gently heat on low, stirring occasionally to avoid scalding.
- Once warmed, pour in the brewed dandelion tea and mix well.
- Strain the mixture into a cup to remove the ginger and spice residue.
- Sweeten with honey or maple syrup, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
